Meet the Artist behind the lens

I am the owner and creator of Sara Underwood Photography. I relocated to Savannah, Georgia in August 2020. I was raised in North Georgia but my passion for photography started in Savannah. I was 14 years old with a pink Sony point & click camera. I was inspired by the beautiful architecture and the city itself. Although Savannah is my new home, it's a homecoming

I started photography with an engagement session and I quickly realized my love and talent for the art of photography.

My favorite part of photography is when I am with my client and I see their self-confidence glow through my lens and they know they look beautiful. Being comfortable in front of the lens is my top priority and I like to consider myself my client's personal hype man to ensure the highest quality photos.

In 2018, I was diagnosed with stage three Hodgkins Lymphoma where I received eight months of treatment. I have officially been in remission since Oct 2019 and jumped right back into photography. My return to photography was just as it started, with an engagement session. Except this time it was a surprise for the bride-to-be.
